Mentoring ProgramsThis is a featured page

The Georgia Library Association does not have a formal mentoring program. If you're interested in participating in a mentoring program, please check out the Southeastern Library Association's program. This program pairs you with an experienced librarian located in one of the Southeastern states. Other mentoring programs include:

American Library Association
Offers two separate programs -- conference mentoring (for first-time attendees of an ALA conference) and career mentoring.

Special Libraries Association Career Coaching and Mentoring Resources
No organization-wide mentor program, but various chapters and divisions offer mentoring programs. See the bottom of the Career Coaching site for a list of the available mentor programs. One program that may be of interest to Georgia LIS students is the South Carolina chapter of the Special Libraries Association telementoring program. This is available to people who live in South Carolina and all students enrolled at the University of South Carolina's School of Library and Information Science (even if you attend USC but live in Georgia).
